Weakness is where the strength is made perfect.
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Reflection
The logic here runs backwards from how the week trains us to think. We treat weakness as the thing to hide, minimize, overcome. The verse calls it the very place strength is made perfect — not despite the weakness, but through it, as the opening the power comes in by. Paul had asked three times for his weakness to be removed. The answer wasn't removal but sufficiency: enough grace, precisely in the weak place. By Friday, the week's weaknesses are usually exposed — the things that didn't get done, the limits hit. This verse reframes them: not failures to bury, but the exact spots where a strength not your own is free to rest.
