Your part is to commit and trust. The bringing-to-pass is his.
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Reflection
There's a sequence here worth following in order: commit, trust, and then — his part — bring it to pass. The committing is the handing over of the way, the whole direction of a thing, not just the outcome. And the trusting is named separately, as if to say the committing isn't complete until it's accompanied by an actual letting-go, not a handing-over with the fingers still gripping. Then the promise shifts to a different subject entirely: he shall bring it to pass. Not you, not by force of will or cleverness — he. The bringing-to-pass is lifted off your shoulders and set on his. That reorders a Tuesday's striving: your part is the committing and the trusting; the outcome is his to carry. The relief in that is the point.
