Scripture Devotion

Able to exceed what you ask — measured by a power already at work in you.

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

Reflection

The verse stacks its words on purpose, straining language to make a point about scale: able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think. Not merely able to answer what we ask — able to exceed it. Not merely to meet our thinking — to go above it. Each phrase reaches past the last, because the point is precisely that the ability outruns our capacity to request or even imagine. And the last clause grounds the soaring in something present: according to the power that worketh in us. This isn't a distant, theoretical ability; it's measured by a power already at work, right now, inside. A Monday full of asks and plans is a good day to remember the scale — that what's possible isn't capped by what you managed to think to ask for, but set by a power already working, able to exceed the request.

Motivational Quote

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.

“Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.”
— Jim Rohn

Application

Rohn names discipline as the bridge — the actual structure that carries you from the goal you set to the accomplishment you wanted. Without it, the goal stays on the far bank, admired but unreached. The bridge isn't inspiration or intention; it's the daily discipline that spans the gap. Monday is where you set foot on it for the week. Cross.
