Scripture Devotion

The tower is already built. The only action required is the running.

“The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”
Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)

Reflection

The image is a tower, and the verb is the surprising part: the righteous runneth into it. Not builds it, not defends it, not mans the walls — runs into it. The safety isn't something you construct under pressure; it's something already standing, that you move toward. The tower is finished before the trouble comes; the only action required is the running. And what's named as the tower is exactly that — the name of the LORD. Not a strategy, not a resource, but a name to run to. There's a reflex in it: when the threat appears, the righteous don't freeze or scramble to build a defense, they run to a refuge that was there all along. A Tuesday's troubles are met not by bracing alone but by running early to the tower that's already standing.

Motivational Quote

Pray, and let God worry.

“Pray, and let God worry.”
— Martin Luther

Application

Luther — who had plenty to worry about, standing against an empire — reduced the whole matter to four words. The division of labor is the point: your part is to pray; the worrying is handed off to One better equipped for it. It's not that the concerns aren't real; it's that carrying them is no longer your job once they've been prayed. A Tuesday's load gets lighter the moment you make that handoff and let it stay made.
