Scripture Devotion
God spoke in many fragments to the fathers. Then He spoke once, whole, in a Son.
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son.”
Reflection
Hebrews opens today like a trumpet after a long silence: all the scattered words — prophets, visions, fragments at sundry times — gather into one final Word, a Son who upholds all things. The Song's bride spends this morning's chapters searching the city streets for the one her soul loves; Hebrews answers that the One has already come looking. A new month begins with the oldest announcement there is. Sit under it before the week starts shouting.
